Arranged for trombone, Concert Rondo was originally written for solo horn. Throughout the entire work, running sixteenths occur in the key of Bb. Trills and grace notes are marked in several phrases with the optional ossia when necessary. On the final page, a cadenza is written out for the soloist to ad-lib for several lines. Even though the range of the solo is a pedal Bb to a Bb4, these two notes only happen at the end of the work. Otherwise, the range of this solo sits in a comfortable register for student trombonists.
